BJJ Gi sizes are set by height and weight together, not by a single measurement. Men's sizes run A0 to A4, women's W1 to W4, and kids' K0 to K4. Find your height along the top of the chart and your weight down the side — the cell where they meet is your size. As a rough guide, A0 fits up to about 155 lbs, A1 covers 126–185 lbs, A2 is the most ordered adult size at 156–225 lbs, A3 covers 171–245 lbs, and A4 covers 186–270 lbs. Gimakx Gis are made from pre-shrunk pearl weave, so expect only a small 1–3% natural shrinkage after the first few washes with cold washing and hang drying. If you fall between two sizes, size up for a looser competition fit or down for a closer cut.

Ranges overlap because sizing depends on height and weight together — use the full charts below to find where your two measurements meet.

Size up if you prefer a looser competition fit, train in a hot climate and want more airflow, or expect to gain a little weight. Size down if you want a closer, more tailored cut that gives opponents less fabric to grip.
Because Gimakx Gis are cut from pre-shrunk pearl weave, sizing up purely to allow for shrinkage is rarely necessary — expect only 1–3% natural shrinkage after the first few washes.
Wash cold and hang dry rather than tumble drying. That keeps shrinkage inside the 1–3% range and protects the pearl weave. Heavier fabrics such as 500 GSM simply need longer to dry. For how fabric weight affects fit and feel, see our guide to 380, 450 and 500 GSM.
A single design can be split across any mix of sizes. An academy ordering the minimum of 10 units per design can take a spread of A1 to A3, or combine adult and kids sizes, without raising the minimum. If you are outfitting a new academy, the partnership program guide explains how the first order works.
Find your height along the top of the size chart and your weight down the side; the cell where they meet is your size. Sizing uses both measurements together, which is why two people of the same height can wear different sizes. Men's sizes run A0 to A4, women's W1 to W4, and kids' K0 to K4.
A2 is the most ordered adult size. It covers roughly 156 to 225 lbs across heights from about 5'1" to 6'3", which is why it sits in the middle of the men's chart and accounts for the largest share of academy orders.
Gimakx Gis are made from pre-shrunk cotton, which minimises shrinkage during manufacturing, though a small 1-3% natural shrinkage can still occur after the first few washes. Wash cold and hang dry rather than tumble drying to keep shrinkage to that range. On 100% pure cotton Gis, expect a little more natural shrinkage.
Size up if you prefer a looser competition fit or expect the Gi to shrink slightly with washing, and size down if you want a closer, more tailored cut. Because Gimakx Gis are pre-shrunk, sizing up purely to allow for shrinkage is rarely necessary.
Yes. Women's Gis are cut W1 to W4 and kids' K0 to K4, both with their own size charts rather than being scaled-down men's patterns. All sizes carry the same MOQ of 10 units per design, and mixed sizes within one design are accepted.
Yes. A single design can be split across any mix of sizes, so an academy ordering 10 Gis can take a spread of A1 to A3, or combine adult and kids sizes, without raising the minimum order quantity.
